If you are not sure if you live in the 10 district you can check out the map at:  http://bc.ingham.org/Portals/BC/Maps/CommDistMapDIST10.pdf -- It covers most (but not all) of the ENO area and reaches into East Lansing.

Please send your question to the candidates to Moderator Nancy Mahlow at nmahlow2012@gmail.com -- Deadline 27 July at Noon -- due to time constrants some questions may not be asked and similar questions will be combined.

Welcome

Welcome fellow neighbors! Eastside Neighborhood Organizatio (ENO) is happy to welcome you to our neighborhood. People who live on the Eastside make more than a great location choice; they enjoy the best of an urban lifestyle. Residents are within walking distance of schools, parks, shopping, churches, and medical facilities, as well as have easy access to CATA bus lines. We are in a convenient location to MSU, LCC, Cooley Law School, the Capitol, and Downtown Lansing, and we also have quick access to major highways.

Commitment to Community

On the Eastside, you'll find many people committed to preserving and improving their community and celebrating it's uniqueness. People who work with neighbors to develop creative solutions to problems and challenges. People who are good neighbors. The Eastside Neighborhood Organization is an umbrella group over 20 active neighborhood groups that serve nearly every part of the Eastside. These groups not only add names to the faces that pass by on the street but offer ways to encourage friendly relationships through participation in many activities such as: spring flower planting, summer picnics and block parties, organized youth sports, clean-up days, and old-fashion neighborhood caroling through the neighborhood.

These are just some of the things that make it easy to get to know your neighbors, and have fun at the same time. This well-developed network of organizations and the people who participate in them help to maintain the strong social fabric and sense of belonging that have long characterized the Eastside.
